If you’re in a major life transition: divorce, relocation, career shift, loss, and you’re exhausted from holding it all together, you don’t need another self-help book. You need a grounded way to meet what you’re living, one present moment at a time
Not fixing. Not optimising. Coming home to yourself.

My approach isn’t theoretical. It is the path I walked to rebuild after my marriage collapsed, I moved countries with two kids, and I had to keep going when my mind, body, and life felt completely overstretched.
This is what actually helped me function, feel and start again.
We begin by slowing everything down. You land back in your body. We use simple grounding and breath so you feel just enough safety to be honest with yourself. Nothing is "wrong" with you. You are overloaded and running on old survival settings. We start from that truth.
You and I map the last 12 to 24 months in clear headlines through the lens of your body, your emotions and your habits. What actually happened. What you have been holding. Why you are so tired. This is where you start to see that your reactions makes sense.
We identify the exact places where you abandon yourself to keep the peace, stay in control, or just survive. The yes that should have been a no. The shutdown. The over functioning. You hear your patterns in your own words, often for the first time.
We define your Grounded Self for this season of your life. Not a vague “best self”, but the woman you want to be now. How she shows up in conflict, money decisions, boundaries, parenting, work. You leave with a simple description you can hold onto and check in with daily.
Together we choose one clear focus for the next 90 days and break it into two or three weekly actions your current capacity can handle. I teach you the NowIt Reset as your instant 90 second in the moment practice that you can use anywhere: in the car, in the bathroom, in the middle of a hard conversation or meltdown.
This is the backbone of all my work - from a single 90-minute session to a full 90-day reset.
“Before working with Maria, I was facing some major decisions during a really tumultuous time in my life and often found myself reacting from a place of heightened emotion. She supported me with so much care and helped me reconnect with my worth, separate myself from others’ opinions, and develop practical coping tools that brought real clarity into my life.”
“Maria has been supporting me for many months while my son has struggled with addiction and depression. Her words gave me clarity and perspective, and helped me trust my own guidance as a mother instead of constantly doubting myself. Her support has given me courage and a way to stand by my son without losing myself. I still think of what she told me, and it continues to help me."
I am writing this from Portugal. Which still surprises me every morning.
My life has taken me across continents and through storms that would break most people. Zimbabwe, South Africa, the UK, Australia, Barcelona, Greece. And now Portugal, where I can hear the Atlantic every morning.
I rebuilt my life after a marriage that unraveled financially and emotionally. Became a single mother overnight. Lost everything at 43 and started again.
But here is what I know now that I didn't know then.
I had spent most of my life being brave on the outside and not enough on the inside.

Putting everyone else's needs above my own. Dimming myself to keep the peace. Making every choice from a place of fear, from a nervous system on high alert, never allowing myself to truly live my own truth.
Until I finally stopped "performing" my life and started truly living and feeling it.
I took everything I knew as a psychologist and applied it to my own messy, imperfect life. Not the textbook version. The real version. Airports. Hard conversations. Money stress. Parenting alone. Grief. Uncertainty. The 2am moments when nobody is watching.
The present moment saves you. If you let it.
I am not a guru. I am an ordinary woman who has been in the mud and knows what it takes to move through it.
My name, Maria, means Of the Sea, Beloved, and Rebellious. A beloved, rebellious woman of the sea. I am finally living near the Atlantic. And I am finally living as myself.
My work is not theoretical. It is the daily practice that helped me survive, soften and rise.
Now I work with women who want to ground themselves in chaos, shift their inner world, and live the life that calls to them. Not the life that collapsed behind them.
